Nneka Morgini has created her brand, Tall Luxé, to enhance the confidence and wardrobe of tall women from all over the world by providing fashionable and quality clothing made exclusively for women who are 5’9 and above.
Throughout her life, Morgini noticed early on that there was a disparity in the fashion industry when it came to making clothes for taller women.
“As a tall woman like myself, I cannot just go into a store and…just try on clothes and actually have luck with it fitting properly, which is something many tall women struggle with today,” said Morgini.
Morgini has always had a passion to create some type of clothing that suits the taller community because of these struggles, but it wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic when she decided to officially take action.
The brand name, Tall Luxe ́, originated from her desire to emphasize that the brand is specifically for tall women while also providing luxurious and high quality products at attainable prices.
“All throughout my childhood I've always been a bit insecure…with my height,” she said. “So I really wanted to just kind of change the narrative. I wanted to create clothes that are made for us and that allows us to feel confident, included, and a part of the current trends and things of that sort.”

As a mother, Morgini wanted to ensure she could make an income while still pursuing her dreams in fashion and design.
Motherhood and family are very important to her as she navigates through her entrepreneur journey. Balancing both isn’t easy, but she is driven to create a life she loves and a future her son can be proud of.
Originally entering college to pursue an accounting degree, Morgini finished her last two years of college at the University at Albany where she pursued communication and business eventually landing in HR (Human Resources).
Starting out, Morgini wasn’t fully educated on how to start a clothing business. However, by doing research through several platforms as well as joining tall girl Facebook groups, such as Tall Girls Matter, Tall Girls Only, and Tall Girl Approved, she was able to acquire knowledge and feedback on the desires of tall women to build a successful brand.
When asked about the behind-the-scenes of manufacturing and creating her inventory, she stated that there were many trials and errors she encountered when making sure her visions come to life.
“It's been tough because when you have something, you have a vision, you see what you want to create and then it doesn't come to life the first time, you have to go through a lot of different samples and just kind of rework it until it's ready..But it's actually such an amazing feeling when it finally comes together.” she said.
Aside from her team of photographers, Morgini sketches and creates her designs, along with managing her business solely by herself.
The brand's identity is all about maintaining simplicity while still making a statement in which they embody through their pieces.
Featured on the Tall Luxé website is her Wardrobe Staples Collection, crafted for tall women who adore style, staple pieces, and perfect fit. It focuses attention on 39-inch inseams and a stunning 50-inch maxi skirt.
So far in her business journey, one of Morgini’s biggest accomplishments has been starting and creating a brand where tall women don’t have to compromise one fit or style. Just simply being a part of the change within tall women fashion is an accomplishment on its own.
She was also featured in the Albany Times Union, participated in local fashion shows, received orders from WNBA (Women’s National Basketball Association) players and international orders, and was a guest speaker at a marketing class at SUNY Schenectady to inspire young people that want to pursue a future in business.
One of Morgini’s goals for Tall Luxe ́ is to be showcased in one of the New York Fashion Week showrooms, to collaborate with brands like Zara or ASOS, and to network and learn from more people in the fashion industry.
When asked what her advice would be to aspiring entrepreneurs, she stated;
“if anyone who is looking to start a business or anything of that sort, I would say trust yourself, trust your vision, fully believe in yourself and go all in!
I feel like sometimes we want instant gratification. We want things to happen as soon as we start, but I feel like the journey is so much more beautiful when you're actually present in the moment and going at your own pace.
When we force and try to focus too much on the future or compare ourselves to other people, that's when we burn out and that's when we lose focus, and even lose ourselves because we're worrying about everybody else. So I would just say focus on your own journey and really trust yourself and your vision and know that everything is working out for you. I feel like personally when ever I'm really in tune and you know just keeping God at the forefront of my vision that's when I feel most at peace because doing this is not easy, it could definitely be overwhelming, but honestly, I feel that keeping God first in all your plans will really keep you grounded and focused on your own path.”
