Best Wishes Vanna LLC is a Black woman-owned greeting card brand dedicated to celebrating West Indian culture through thoughtfully designed stationery.
Founded by University at Albany student Savanna St. Aimee, her mission is to bring representation, joy, and authenticity to the greeting card industry.
Majoring in business administration with a focus on marketing and management, she is making a significant impact within the local Caribbean community through her uniquely crafted greeting cards.
Growing up in a cultural community like Flatbush, Brooklyn, St. Aimee’s Trinidadian and Guyanese roots have always been a sentimental aspect of her life and identity.
Reflecting on her heritage and its influence on her business, she stated, “Growing up in like a Caribbean household… certain things that we say and do are not often represented in things we see today. So seeing that in a greeting card would be like, ‘oh, that's something different. I've never seen that before’.”
What makes her greeting cards so unique is their personalization, humor and sentimental bond with the Caribbean community.
“I'm the kind of person that likes to receive, personalized gifts,” said St. Aimee.
“I love when people write me messages or like give me gifts that they know, I'm going to love. Nothing expensive.”
As a UAlbany college student, St.Aimee is surrounded by a diverse group of individuals that also appreciate her contribution to bridging the cultural gap with her Caribbean-inspired cards.
She began planning her business in December 2023 and had her first launch on February 14, 2024.
“I was a sophomore at the time and I didn't have a job that whole month,” said St.Aimee.
“I was just at home doing nothing and I was like, I needed to be doing something productive with my time.”
When describing the process of creating her cards, she stated that she creates all the cards herself and takes her time when designing them.

“I like to take my time and make sure that the designs are thought out…I try to make sure it’s something that people can relate to and…make them laugh.”
To promote Best Wishes Vanna, St.Aimee utilizes her marketing skills to ensure her business has a positive and enticing media presence. Her biggest accomplishment thus far is being able to successfully run her business independently.
“People don't understand…it's intense, because everything is you by yourself,” said St.Aimee.
As for the future of her business, she hopes to expand and work towards having her own Caribbean-themed hallmark section and creating more merchandise.
Her brand has seen significant growth within just one year, with 200+ cards sold, participation in several major NYC festivals, and Black Business Expo’s hosted on the UAlbany campus.
Currently, there are no other Black-owned or Caribbean-inspired greeting card brands in the Capital Region that St. Aimee has come across, making Best Wishes Vanna LLC a unique addition to the local market.
